Insurances : Insurance compagnies are arranging clauses ( Axa group's clauses as example)
The burden of proof of compliance with the prevention rules set out hereafter lies with the transporter (extract from the theft clause, published by AXA insurance group):
- The vehicle shall be equipped with anti-theft devices such as: theft protection devices attached to the trailer or semi-trailer kingpin, reinforced mesh tarpaulins that prevent cutting or tearing, padlocks with a minimum blister steel shackle diameter of 9 mm.
- As of January 1st, 2005, mesh-reinforced tarpaulins are required for all goods transportation.
