Defender® textiles are reinforced with built-in pairs of warp-wise / weft-wise high-resistance multi-strand steel cables. As these cable pairs are a mere 4 cm from each other they form a real mesh barrier. Metal density on this scale provides optimal protection against break-ins and shocks, thereby securing all sorts of applications.
Ferrari® has developed a calendering process that adapts to all tarpaulin formats and qualities so that Defender® becomes an integral part of its support.
This process improves:
• break-in resistance
• dissuasion, because the regular mesh pattern is visible from the outside
